The goal of this task is not only to see what I am made of, but to set up daily habits of making excellent choices. For Echo, I must also do this day by day. It is not always smooth sailing. I have to be willing to make the tough decisions and push through even when I just want to quit. There is no quitting. That is not an option for the success of Echo Wellness Center, and for my personal Ironman goals.
I encourage you to right now make a choice. Set a goal. Make it a big one. I first suggested to my business coach, Andy, a marathon. He said “No. Bigger”. So I say to you “Bigger”. Do something you never thought possible. Make a plan and follow it. Sticking to the plan is non-negotiable. That has to be your rule.
Find an anchor that holds you to your plan. Mine? Two amazing boys that look to me for guidance. If I were to quit now what message would that send them? I get out of bed each morning at 4:30 or 5am for Jerrett and Tanner. They are my anchor. I do this for me but I also do this for them.
I would love to hear some stories of dreaming big and following those dreams to the end/or the beginning. I add beginning because Ironman 2015 is not the end. I am already an Ironman every day that I get out there and follow the plan. Some days suck. Some days are glorious. Either way.......I do it.
Make a dream, anchor it and go get it!
For now.....my legs hurt. Time to get a massage!
